This event is a two-day workshop with different themes for each day. On the first day, we will have a speaker who will conduct a workshop on upcycling plastic waste. On the second day, there will be a workshop on using patchwork techniques with fabric scraps.
Several communities will participate in this workshop, including the Mother’s PKK Pemogan, Simbar Segara Batu Lumbang Community, Community Tangan Di Atas (TDA), kindergarten teachers, and students from SMK PGRI 2 Badung.
The aim of this workshop is to support the 3R (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle) program by utilizing plastic and fabric waste. It is hoped that this workshop will serve as a platform for these communities to disseminate the knowledge to a wider audience using the Training of Trainer (ToT) concept.
The BWMTC team has planned a supervision program for three months until August 2024, during which the upcycling program can be showcased in the form of a competition or festival to enhance its marketability. Several WhatsApp groups have been created to facilitate coordination and share progress updates.
